The CDC reports inaccurate information about the effectiveness rates of Fertility Awareness Based Methods and NFP. How did the CDC come up with incorrect information? The study they cite was based on surveys where women were asked to recall what family planning method they were using when they got pregnant (bad science). The study lumps all natural methods of family planning into one statistic (bad science). In fact, 85% of the women who participated in this study WERE NOT EVEN USING a modern effective family planning method (really really really bad science).
